The band normally performed as a trio however for this show they add a keyboardist and two backing vocalists giving the songs greater depth and range taking the entire performance to a new level. Finally released from prison, Elwood Blues is once again enlisted by Sister Mary Stigmata in her latest crusade to raise funds for a children's hospital. Hitting the road to re-unite the band and win the big prize at the New Orleans Battle of the Bands, Elwood is pursued cross-country by the cops.

Mark Knopfler is adding a performance at New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden on September 25 with special guest Bonnie Raitt to his North American tour in support of his critically acclaimed album, Down the Road Wherever. On tour Knopfler performs with an expanded ten-piece band, most of whom have been working with him for more than two decades.

Blind blues musician Paul Pena is perhaps best known for his song "Jet Airliner". In 1993, Pena heard Tuvan throat singing over his shortwave radio and subsequently taught himself how to reproduce these extraordinary sounds. This documentary follows him to Tuva, where he takes part in a throat singing competition. Languages featured in the film include English, Russian and Tuvan.
