The story unfolds in the turbulent period in the history of Japan, where two imperial courts exist. Kusunoki Masatsura, a warlord of the Southern Court, knows the court is approaching its downfall while spending his days fighting against the Northern Court along with his younger brothers: Masatoki and Masanori. Along the way Masatsura meets Ben no Naishi and the two fall in love. The full-blown cherry blossom season arrives, and with a decisive battle looming Masatsura wonders what he is fighting for. Amidst a storm of cherry blossoms, Masatsura follows the path he has chosen… "Dream Chaser" is one who chases their dreams. Takarazuka Flower Troupe 2014 Chunichi Theater production. In 1770, Princess Marie-Antoinette of the House of Hapsburg, youngest daughter of Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, marries at the age of fourteen, Prince Louis (future Louis XVI) of the House of Bourbon, eldest grandson of King Louis XV of France. In anxiety over some childishness still lingering in Marie-Antoinette, Empress Maria Theresa sends over to France her confidant, Count of Mercy-Argenteau, on the mission to tutor Marie-Antoinette to grow up to be a beloved queen of the French people.

The scene is set in Kashmir, in the northernmost part of India, where the great Indus River meanders.Kamala, the granddaughter of Maharaja Chandra Kumar, the powerful viceroy of Benares, and who is promised to become the chief lady-in-waiting of the daughter of Goyar, the Grand Duke of Delhi, falls in love with Cavalry Captain Rachman, who hails from a farmer’s household. Her amour with the captain, however, is strongly opposed to by her grandfather and grandmother and aunts, on the grounds that the young lovers are too vastly separated in their respective social position.

This musical play is based on the first act of Goethe's Faust. The angel Mephistopheles is condemned to fall from heaven after committing a sin. He is told that he can only return to heaven if he can bring a human being on the path of salvation. Mephistopheles refuses, believing that man is inherently evil. Vowing to drag a human down to hell along with him, he descends onto Earth and sets his sights on a man named Faust, an aged professor with no will to live.

One night while enjoying the company of a woman as usual, Don Juan angers the Grand Master, the woman's father, which leads to a duel. Don Juan emerges victorious but the Grand Master's dying words are: "Someday love will punish you..." Before long, those ominous words manifest themselves as a curse and an apparition haunts Don Juan. After the incident, unheeding the curse, Don Juan continues to lust insatiably. But as it just so happened, by fate Don Juan meets Maria, the daughter of a sculptor who is creating a statue of the slain Grand Master. And the "curse of love" begins to afflict Don Juan...
