Ryan and Jennifer are opposites who definitely do not attract. At least that's what they always believed. When they met as twelve-year-olds, they disliked one another. They decide to continue his journey, but do not understand the dangers they will soon encounter.

At home, Terkel's Uncle Stewart erupts in sporadic fits of rage, and at school Terkel is bullied by two boys after they learn that fat Doris likes him. On a school camping trip, Terkel begins receiving death threats and must figure out who wants to kill him.

In a search for a place to settle down, the three friends, Blue, Yellow and Green find their friendship being ruined by greed and headless competition. Only when Blue and Yellow have destroyed and used all surrounding natural resources in their race to build the tallest house on the beach - they discover that Green has found the true values in life on a mountaintop, in harmony with nature, surrounded by family and love.

The movie, based on a story by Yuri Nagibin, depicts a young girl named Vika enjoying the last days of summer vacations in a sea resort somewhere in the south.
