When Will It All End

While struggling to finish a painting, a young girl finds herself lost in the world of perfection and objectivity.

This is a classing Jordan animation, primarily in B/W, with touches of color. Actually, the engraved art work was film on color negative, so that subtle variations in tone are recorded. The mood-enhanced by John Davis' original music-is dream-like. It is both lyric and crackling, producing a kind of anticipatory tension. The scenes, in the usual Jordan manner, follow the surreal principle of placing objects and people where the ought not to be, and making movements that in the waking world are impossible. Each scene is a kind of drama from another world.

Following his forced retirement from an appalling rock band, Jason decides to vacation at Brittlehouse Manor, a health farm run by the leather-gloved, ex-Nazi scientist Dr. Storm. Along the way, Jason meets Judy, also on her way to Brittlehouse Manor to visit her aunt, who married Dr. Storm some years ago. "REM" is an Afrikaans Sci-Fi Drama about a grief-stricken father, Dehan, who becomes obsessed with the memory of his late wife, Lena, through the use of a high-tech, dream-altering device, the REM. This unhealthy obsession leads to Dehan struggling to reconnect with his young son, Erich, who survived the car accident that caused Lena's death. Dehan must decide to face and to confront his grief, reconnecting with his son, or to become so immersed in his fantasy dream-world that he loses touch with reality, and Erich, altogether.

The monotony of college life traps Murphey into disillusionment and apathy. She can't feel anything and can't figure out why until a phone call with her mother reminds her that there is life beyond school and that happiness is possible even when it has never felt further away.

Ariel goes to therapy and talks to his psychologist. In the course of the session he talks about his mother and his ex-boyfriend, whom he last saw due to an argument in which Ariel didn't recognize him as his boyfriend in front of his mother.
