Pablo is seen less and less in the neighborhood. So much so that his friends no longer even know what's become of him. His secret: he has a passion for horse-riding and hides, for fear of having to cope with other people's attitudes. One day, his pals discover the truth. Pablo must then must make a major decision: to come to terms with himself and become the first cowboy in the projects.

A story about a troubled boy growing up in England, set in 1983. He comes across a few skinheads on his way home from school, after a fight. They become his new best friends, even like family. Based on experiences of director Shane Meadows.

Freshman high-school student Melinda has refused to speak ever since she called the cops on a popular summer party. Takatoshi Minamiyama majors in art at an university in Kyoto. On the train to the school, he sees Emi Fukuju and falls in love with her at first sight. Gathering up all his courage, he speaks to her. They begin to date and enjoy happy days together, but Emi reveals her secret to him.
