Wacken Open Air is the biggest 3-day-rock- and metal-festival in the world. It's three days of raw energy, non-stop Heavy Metal music at full blast and 80.000 fans on a party frenzy. A true legend, taking place annually since 1990 in the sleepy German country town of Wacken, it attracts fans from all over the world.
Featuring footage of ARCH ENEMY's headline performance at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2016, filmed with 14 cameras, produced and directed by Patric Ullaeus. The audio was mixed by Andy Sneap.
Released on October 20th 2014 'Raise The Dead: Live From Wacken' is a live album and film recorded at the Wacken Open Air festival on August 3rd 2013. Celebrating their 35 anniversary, Germany’s most successful Heavy Metal band, Scorpions, invited former members Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker and Herman Rarebell to join them onstage at Wacken Open Air 2006. Billed as “A Night To Remember, A Journey Through Time”, the August 3rd performance’s setlist was voted on by fans around the world via the Scorpions’ website and witnessed by over 60,000 metalheads in attendance.
