Uneasy Payments

First Pa said Theodore was a lizzy-nizzy. He let that go, but when Pa said he was too sporty because he spent a nickel for a ticket for a voting contest for the fairest girl in town, Pa's daughter, of course, then Theodore decided to settle Pa. He played at being a lady. Then Pa said he might not be as young as he used to be, but Ma came along. So Pa said all on the sly, "Go to it, Theodore."

Male and female sales agents, Phil and Ruth, for rival hosiery concerns try to land an order. For a while Phil succeeds and puts on an exhibition but Ruby makes the mannequins use her own brand of hose, flirts with the buyer and wins order away from her rival.

Political Rivalry between Senator Jim Walton and Tom Pierce is so bitter that it threatens to disrupt their party on the eve of a primary election. A speech by Walton causes Pierce to become angry and it looks like a fight is going to ensue. A musician (Brooke Johns) is heard singing "That Old Gang of Mine" and it brings back childhood memories . Harmony is restores and the past combatants join together for a united front against the opposition party.

On the morning of the wedding, she abandons her old sweetheart, Bob Worth, to take a ride with Reginald, but when he takes her to a disreputable roadhouse, she escapes and then tries to commit suicide by drinking cologne.

The Dawn of Understanding is a lost 1918 American silent Western comedy film produced by The Vitagraph Company of America and directed by David Smith. It stars Bessie Love in the first film of her nine-film contract with Vitagraph.

"Specs" White owns a garage in town and is the local baseball team's #1 pitcher-but he's more interested in working on his latest invention, a new and improved gas pump, than pitching on the team. A scout for the Los Angeles Angels professional baseball team offers Specs a contract. He accepts, but only so he can use the money he gets to work on his invention. However, Specs has a secret he dare not tell anyone-he's scared to death of large crowds. Alice Hobbs, the young, pretty owner of the Angels, tries to help him with that problem, but a misunderstanding causes another problem. this time between Specs and Alice.

Sonny Boy's parents are in the midst of a bitter divorce when the boy's mother talks her sister into kidnapping him because she is terrified that her husband will take the boy out of the country after the divorce.

A pair of elderly Civil War veterans, Judge Holt and his friend Joel Ketchum, spent most of their time reminiscing about their wartime experiences. In the meantime, Holt's granddaughter falls in love with a devil-may-care aviator. The only problem is that Holt hates aviators and will do whatever he can to break up the romance.
