There were 57 months, 900 hours of audiovisual material collected in Angolan and international territory, with about 700 statements from protagonists of the anti-colonial struggle. All of this aimed at preserving the memory of a period in history that concerns Angola and the struggle of all peoples under colonial occupation whose memories still have to be registered and thought through.

The film’s events take place on a single day: August 24, 2022, the day Ukraine celebrates the 31st anniversary of the renewal of independent statehood. Together, these people and places create an engaging mosaic of a day in the life of Ukraine.

Filmed in grainy black and white by Bukowski’s friend, Taylor Hackford, due to lack of funding, the old films edited into this movie paint Bukowski’s life of boozing and brawling romantically, securing Bukowski’s legendary status.
