Director SS Kumaran, known more for his music than for his directorial skills, seems to have one and only one purpose on his mind - entertain the audience with his film Kerala Naatilam Pengaludane. To his credit, he manages to do just that. Although the film has just a wafer-thin plot and logic takes a severe beating at quite a few places, Kumaran's victory lies in the fact that the film doesn't leave you bored, annoyed or frustrated at any given point. The director has three people to primarily thank for that. The first of the lot is Prof Gnanasambandam, who scores big with his performance as the dad of the hero in the film. The manner in which he portrays a man desperately wanting to be recognized as a Malayali, despite having not been able to wed a Keralite, is delightful. His sequences, including the one in which he religiously subscribes to Malayalam newspapers every month despite being unable to read a single word, contribute handsomely to the film's overall comedy content. The next is Kaali, who, as the hero's friend, is often found goofing up. What's more, Kaali willingly accepts punishments for his goof-ups.The third is Renuka, who as the hero's mother, comes up with yet another stellar performance. On the flip side, several developments go unexplained. For instance, the reason why Kaali is bashed up by a person at several points in the film is not explained at all. The climax too is abrupt and gives one the impression that the director is in a hurry to finish his story. As a viewer, you are left unconvinced about the way the climax progresses and ends. Technically, Kumaran is backed by some stunning visuals from Yuva. His music too is impressive and adds strength to the film.

Set in the second decade of the 20th century, this is a story of cinema entering villages of Kerala. The protagonist Diwakaran gets attracted to the new machine, bioscope, at an exhibition by Frenchman DuPont, who does bioscope shows on the coasts of Tamil Nadu.
The film acts as Stephen’s rise to power as the infamous Khureshi Ab’raam as well as the aftermath of his departure from Kerala politics at the end of Lucifer.
Thankam follows the story of Muthu and Kannan, two gold agents from Thrissur, known as the gold capital of India. As they travel across Kerala and Tamil Nadu, delivering consignments of gold, their lives take a dark turn when a routine trip leads to unexpected complications.
The film is about two individuals meeting after a long time and spending time in awkward silences and confessions. As fate has brought them together again to pick up from what they'd left off, the duo makes an effort to speak their minds, hoping for closure.
Set in southern India in the late 1930s, this provocative tale traces the story of three people caught in an inexorable web of forbidden romance and dangerous secrets. After a British spice planter falls in love with his alluring servant, an idealistic young man finds himself torn between his ambitions and his family, his village and his past.
The 6 minutes film unfurls the story of self discovery in the strangest time through a MakeUp Artist. His only guest happens to be economic crisis. With the moist eyes and the time he is left alone with, his sight is beclouded. So, he turns to himself to see a face he has never seen beneath his brushes, a face he has never bothered to acknowledge.
Football in the Indian State of Kerala runs through the fabric of its society, where "football is life and life is football". The film brings you six unique stories that take you on a journey across the football crazy land of Kerala.
