A hitchhiking serial killer hitches a ride with a preacher.

Whilst on a short weekend getaway, Louise shoots a man who had tried to rape Thelma. Due to the incriminating circumstances, they make a run for it and thus a cross country chase ensues for the two fugitives. Along the way, both women rediscover the strength of their friendship and surprising aspects of their personalities and self-strengths in the trying times.

At the pointy end of a situationship and a sexuality crisis, Georgia and Jake are stuck on the side of the road with an overstepping hitchhiker on a trip that will either make or break them – or maybe both.

Trucker Rubber Duck and his buddies Pig Pen, Widow Woman and Spider Mike use their CB radios to warn one another of the presence of cops. But conniving Sheriff Wallace is hip to the truckers' tactics, and begins tricking the drivers through his own CB broadcasts. Facing constant harassment from the law, Rubber Duck and his pals use their radios to coordinate a vast convoy and rule the road.

He speaks of the benefits of the trucking industry and how it depends on the nation's roadways, and he rails against regulations that make the industry less efficient and profitable. After recounting the amounts the trucking industry pays in taxes, he watches the unveiling of the sign naming the highway The McGurk Way.

On their way to an afternoon on the lake, husband and wife Andrzej and Krystyna nearly run over a young hitchhiker. Inviting the young man onto the boat with them, Andrzej begins to subtly torment him; the hitchhiker responds by making overtures toward Krystyna. When the hitchhiker is accidentally knocked overboard, the husband's panic results in unexpected consequences.

Joe and Paul Fabrini are Wildcat, or independent, truck drivers who have their own small one-truck business. The Fabrini boys constantly battle distributors, rivals and loan collectors, while trying to make a success of their transport company.

Matt, with the assistance of his new friend Riley, is moving out to Los Angeles California to fulfill his dream of making movies. Everything is off to a good start! That is until Matt's childhood best friend Chaps decides to crash the road trip and invite himself along. When old friends don't mix well with new friends, jealousy enters the picture. And if that wasn't enough to put a damper on the road trip, a menacing hitchhiker turns their world upside down leading to a maddening chase that spins wildly out of control.

Martha is unhappy with her life as it is at the moment, and among other issues, she has decided to give up her writing career. Along with that decision comes a need to get away from her husband and from her psychiatrist, with whom she has had more than just a doctor-patient relationship. As Martha travels through a deserted city landscape in a storm, the external world reflects something of her inner turmoil. Flashbacks are interspersed throughout the film to enhance the suspense of Martha's inner and outer journey.

Keon wants his friend's girlfriend so he tries to take her by force but she gets away. Instead, she runs into a truck driver who rapes and murders her. Keon is wracked with guilt. As the investigators close in on Keon, Madam Sun-wu hides him. Keon becomes Madam Sun-wu's toy-boy. He also becomes a nude model for Ma Mi-ae, Madam Sun-wu's friend. Mi-ae is drawn to Keon. Mrs. Yun, whose husband is impotent, also looks to Keon to satisfy her desires. As the investigation's net tightens, Keon's life falls apart. Mrs. Yun dumps Keon on a road in the middle of the night. The prostitute Lan helps Keon out. However, in despair, Keon runs out into the rain and screams. On TV, the news broadcast the capture of the real criminal.
