Sunset Boulevard is Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest musical. It is based on Billy Wilder's classic 1950 film. "Sunset Boulevard" is the story of faded glory and unfulfilled ambition. Silent movie star Norma Desmond longs for a return to the big screen having been left behind by the advent of "talkies". Joe Gillis is a struggling Hollywood writer who, through dramatic circumstances, encounters Norma Desmond. Their passionate and volatile relationship leads to unforeseen and tragic consequences.

He also has other problems regarding the American woman and his unusual friend.
