Looking to get rich quick, an unsuccessful lawyer uses dishonest means to try to become a boxing promoter.

In this crime melodrama, a Swiss woman finds herself unwittingly involved in a plot to steal from her employer, a London diamond merchant. Her boyfriend is behind the scheme. First he sends two accomplices disguised as German jewelers to see the boss. He is not fooled by their ruse and is killed while the woman is knocked unconscious. She awakens with amnesia and begins aimlessly wandering the London streets. Thinking that his girl has squealed to the police, her boy friend begins scouring the town to find her. Meanwhile, she is taken in by a boxer who returns to the ring to win the money needed to get her out of the country. Trouble ensues when her lover finally finds her after the match and begins beating on the exhausted fighter.

Brazilian badlands, April 1910. Tonho is ordered by his father to avenge the death of his older brother. The act, however, is witnessed by a chambermaid, who reports him to the police. Dr. Heyt is put on trial for murder and, at first, Dr. Lang testifies against him in court. Soon, however, Dr. Lang is faced with a similar case in his professional practice and this, along with Dr. Heyt’s impassioned performance in court, convinces Dr. Lang that, in some instances, mercy killing may be the right thing to do.

A junior high school student spends his nights hanging out at the disco. At home his parents are more interested in swapping partners with willing couples than spending time with their son. One evening, while shoplifting, a young woman gives him a hand and helps him pull off the snatch. Mesmerized by the woman he follows her to where she lives.
