Robert Neville is a scientist who was unable to stop the spread of the terrible virus that was incurable and man-made. Immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and perhaps the world. For three years, Neville has faithfully sent out daily radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. But he is not alone.

As the first child, Ian struggles to achieve his dreams with his friends and works hard to meet all the expectations he has built, which makes him distant from his family. However, when a major event causes him to lose his parents suddenly, Ian tries to stay strong and buries all his feelings until he becomes numb.

After her sister leaves home, Tari fights to protect her mother from her father's abuse and joins a support group where she meets a new lifelong friend.

Director Joseph is working through a new idea for a film and the breakup with his ex-boyfriend Marc. At the same time Sonya, the mother of his son Pino, is suffering from a depression that increasingly tears her from her life.

A woman going through a crisis acts indifferently to her boyfriend, who tries his best to care for her.

A young couple is pushed to the limits of sanity as they attempt to be reunited amid the chaos of a pandemic outbreak. The streets erupt into violence and depravity, as those infected are driven to enact the most cruel and ghastly things imaginable.

Andrea (4) and Marina (6) become fast friends while playing on the rooftops of their adjacent buildings during the pandemic in Mexico City. They cling to their precious friendship during the stress and loneliness of confinement. When Marina's parents separate suddenly, however, Marina is heartbroken to have to move away without being able to say goodbye to Andrea, who is equally heartsick until she unexpectedly finds a remnant of their friendship.
