Kaagaz (transl. Paper) is a biographical drama about a farmer, Lal Bihari's 19-year struggle to make himself come alive again when he is declared dead in Government records by interests keen to take over his assets.

The human drama is based on an interesting premise of a seasoned character actor who decides to come out of retirement and begin a quest for a record of some sorts, that elusive 500th role, the one for which he shall be remembered forever.

A young man, Aditya Singh (Adhyayan), who fell deeply in love with a beautiful girl (Ariana). Soon he had a severe heart-attack, and when consulted with his doctor-friend (Shekhar Suman), he then suggested him to do a heart-transplant. As Aditya lands in the operation theatre, some bizarre thing happens in his life, and lots of unsaid and controversial betrayed story unfolds.
