Music executive Amelia goes to a festival on the Outer Banks to beat out the competition for an elusive new band and discovers that the group is fronted by Will, her childhood summer sweetheart. Over the course of the week, as Amelia tries to convince Will that her company is the better choice for his musical vision, she realizes there might be a conflict of interest…her feeling for him.

Five legendary bank robbers carve out a nice lifestyle for themselves during their long sentences in a Spanish maximum-security prison, where the guards and inmates buckle to their every demand. When they are granted a surprise and immediate release, they flounder on the greatly changed, modern streets of Madrid. A complicated situation develops as Alex sees Lisa as the cure for his own problems as well as his wife's.

But when an old crazy beggar befriends the young student, his fate turns out to be intertwined with that of the fearsome Lu Din, a man with no arms or legs.

For want of a nail a shoe was lost, for want of a shoe... a young man's life is almost lost, which is exactly what this film is all about: a man barely twenty who wants desperately to pull out of London's drug world by taking a job as a waiter in a 'normal' restaurant. But to do this he must come up with a "sensible" pair of shoes, an item that his homeless meanderings hasn't provided him.

A coming-of-age tale set in Brooklyn during the late '50s which centers around the high school life of a group of teens that have to deal with racial tensions at their interracial vocational high school.
