Diane Renee Thomas was born on January 7, 1946 in Sault St. Marie, Michigan, USA. She was a writer and actress, known for Romancing the Stone (1984), The Jewel of the Nile (1985) and Game Show Models (1977). Her family moved to Long Beach, Calif., when she was 12 years old. She attended USC, majoring in business. She worked as an advertising copy writer, wrote travel brochures, took acting class and worked toward a degree in psychology. Diane died Monday, October 21, 1985 in Los Angeles, California, USA when her 1985 Porsche, driven by a friend, swerved off the road and hit a power pole near Topanga Beach, Calif.
