After his mother's death, Chan Kai-yuk feels so alone that he leaves Guangzhou for Hong Kong to look up the father who abandoned him and his mom. But Yuk's hopes are dashed on finding his dad has a new family and considers him a burden. Alone and homeless, Yuk is taken in by Auntie Fen, a middle-aged recluse who leads a solitary existence. At first, their different habits and personalities lead to numerous squabbles, intensified by Yuk's self-centeredness and Fen's odd temperament. As time goes on, Yuk learns Fen is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. The discovery unexpectedly serves as a catalyst for the young man's growth as a caring friend. For the first time in her life, Fen feels truly blessed. But it is a situation rife with irony due to the nature of her disease and the accelerating elusiveness of feelings and memories.

Yau Tsoi-fung - Full-time mother Hong Nga-yau and her husband Yau Tsoi-shan have a two-year-old daughter called Yau Yat-tung. The family are under constant pressure as they and Nga-yau’s parents Hong Lok and Fong Chor-kiu are living under the same roof. Tsoi-shan covertly plots to break free from Chor-kiu’s control. But his parents Yau Tai-long and Kam Mei-foon keep making trouble, causing Tsoi-shan to be always in the wrong. There is constant conflict between Nga-yau and Tsoi-shan as the couple cannot agree on how to split parenting duties. Nga-yau insists on going to work. Meanwhile, stress and strife between “the four elders” is not melting away. Tsoi-shan’s younger brother Yau Tsoi-fung and his wife Cheung Pik-chi, and Ngai-yau’s elder cousin sister Ip Fan and her husband Kwan Chi-chung are faced with contradictions and hurdles with regards to raising children. In the process, children are invariably proved to be the key for parents to seize opportunities for life-long learning and maturation.

- Interior Designer Moon Sing Hong purchases a flat in anticipation of marrying his longtime girlfriend who is expected to be returning home soon after studying abroad. Without his knowledge or permission his older sister rents out his flat to popular Cantonese opera singer Kan Kit. Unable to break the rental lease, Sing Hong uses all kinds of tactics to try to make Kan Kit move out but her manager Lin Sau fong helps her stand firm. When Sing Hong's best friend and business partner Tin Hak kan, meets Kit he develops an instant attraction to her and ask Sing Hong to help him pursue Kit. In order to help his friend with love Sing Hong gets close to Kit to find out about her interests. The two soon work out their differences and become friends. However their typical life is turned upside down when Kit gets into a car accident and finds her biological mother, while Sing Hong finds out his longtime girlfriend has been living in Hong Kong all along with another man.

The father and son get into disputes daily and his elder brother MA KEUNG and his wife LO LAI SEUNG are often stuck in between and have to settle the disputes. The couple also holds the heavy responsibility of raising their kids. Three generations in the MA family all live together and encounter different situations, experiences and system of values.
