A Journey

Bun-Yi is sold to a bar for her widowed mother and young sister. There, she meets Dal-Jung and through his arrangement, she gets married into the rural rich Choi family as the wife of the youngest son. She lives as if she were housemaid looking after her mentally deficient husband Young-Ku, parents-in-law, and sister-in-law, and gives birth to a precious son. But she is driven out of the house because of mother-in-law and sister-in-law's evil plot. Going around from restaurants to restaurants, she becomes a owner of a restaurant and lives helping the poor children. Later, she comes to meet Young-Ku working as a shoe shining man in Busan. Mother-in-law and sister-in-law regret their faults in past and Bun-Yi regains their old house. Thus, all of them return to their hometown and live a happy life.

- Na Rim, who came from a wealthy household, lost her family in a car accident when she was nine. After the accident, she suffered from amnesia so her uncle hired Oh Dal Gun, an ex-ganster, to recreate a similar household with parents, sister, brother, grandparents and uncle in hopes that she would regain her memory. In a hurry, Oh Dal Gun ended up hiring all sorts of odd ball characters to act as members of Na Rim's family. None got along at the start and hilarious situation arose when all members tried to cope in front of the little girl and also to protect her from the one who caused her family's accident. Eventually they started to behave like a real family and cared for each other, proving that blood relation is not as important as a caring heart.

This is an ironic reference to the fact that the traditional role of a Korean daughter-in-law was a life filled with thankless drudgery. This show explores whether modern life and ethos have improved the lives of daughters-in-law in various circumstances with a comedic tone.
