Park Nou-sik

Park Nou-sik (February 4, 1930 – April 3, 1995) was a South Korean actor. Park was born in Suncheon, South Jeolla province, Korea in 1930. Park graduated from Suncheon School of Education. Park debuted as an actor in 1956 by starring in Gyeoktoe (격퇴) directed by Lee Gang-cheon. Park had starred in hundreds of films and established his career as an action film star. During the Korean War (1950~1953) Second Lieutenant Kim asks an old citizen Gang of Ssarigol village to hide seven stranglers of his unit, and then he leaves to follow his ranks. An armed force official from the North side, who used to be a farm servant of the town, enters the town with armed forces and threatens the town members to hand the hidden soldiers of the South side over to them. The seven South Korean soldiers cannot but to start a combat with the North Korean soldiers. By the time, Second Lieutenant Kim's unit arrives at the town to help them to defeat the enemy. Best friends Dae-gyu and Dal-su fight over Ok-hi. When Ok-hui marries and goes to Seoul the fight ends. After many years, Ok-hi is widowed and brings her daughter Ji-hyang to her home village, and the fight between Dae-gyu and Dal-su begins again. Ok-hui borrows some money from Dal-su when she is short of money while building a reservoir for the village. Dal-su lends money on the condition that she marry him if she cannot pay him back until the ground-breaking ceremony. And Dal-su's wife leaves. As Ok-hui fails to return the money, she tries to run away with Dae-gyu, but they run into Min, Dal-su's son, who demands them to pay back his father's money. Finally Dae-gyu and Dal-su meet and have a fight, but at last Dal-su sends him to Ok-hi, and he is happy to do so.
